We welcome all your donations of food, toiletries and any other consumables that would help with making life that bit better for someone. We do ask that they be of a good standard as well as having a ‘use by’ date that permits us to distribute them.
We are very grateful to the local retailers, local primary schools and others who take donation for us as well as the local church members, amongst others, who also give financially to our work.
Food Donations :
Our food needs tend to be for the basics such as pasta, beans, cereal, rice, tinned veg, puddings and fruit, cordial and basic food cupboard items such as salt, etc.
At present the most pressing need is for the following items :-
Tins of veg, spaghetti, meat, rice and custard
Washing powder and washing up liquid
Biscuits (not chocolate)
If you can help with any of these please drop in what you can at the donation points listed below or contact the foodbank by email through our ‘Contact Us‘ page on this website or by calling the mobile number on 07840 957039 or via our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/TFoodbank/
Food Donation Points :
For the time being our collection points are restricted. However, we still have donation points at:-
Newport Scotmid Store
Financial Giving :
Whilst we get donations of food and other goods and essential items we still need money to help us to keep going and to purchase perishable items such as fresh fruit and vegetables, milk, butter, bread, cheese, eggs, special dietary foods and the like.
To help with these financial contributions we have set up a ‘giving by text’ system.
To make a one-off donation –
Text: TAYFOODBANKONCE to 70085 to donate £5 or add any full pound value after the words between 1-20 to donate the equivalent pounds value
TAYFOODBANKONCE 10 to give £10.
TAYFOODBANKONCE 20 to give £20.
To make a recurring monthly donation –
Text: TAYFOODBANKMONTHLY to 70085 to donate £5 or add any full pound value after the words between 1-20 to donate the equivalent pounds value each month.
TAYFOODBANKMONTHLY 5 to give £5 each month.
The amount of the costs for each text plus the charge for a standard rate text message will be charged on your next mobile phone bill.
